The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of the University of Stuttgart was founded in 2023 and it has "AI for Simulations" and "Intelligent Robotics" as its focal points of research.
The aim of the newly founded Institute is to research fundamental questions about AI, to reflect on the benefits for society, and to promote the transfer of AI applications to business and society.

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence aims to work in three directions: first, to conduct internationally outstanding research; second, to be a competent research partner for other scientific disciplines that use artificial intelligence to advance their research; and third, to promote the transfer of artificial intelligence methods to business and society.
