Open Master Thesis - Contact a supervisor for more details!
Various models and algorithms have emerged from multiple disciplines to detect or understand the effects of fake news and misinformation. However, there is still a lack of intuitive interfaces that help social media users distinguish misinformation from verified news, i.e., how to highlight linguistic, network, and image features that can distinguish suspicious information. In this thesis, you will investigate HCI methods, e.g., interviews/surveys/eye-tracking to design and evaluate different representation methods for misinformation.
