Girls’ Day: Programming Your Own Learning Assistant with ChatGPT

A three-hour, beginner-friendly workshop at the University of Stuttgart where female high-school students learn how ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot work by building their own AI-powered learning assistant!

The Institute of Artificial Intelligence at University of Stuttgart is hosting a hands-on workshop for female high-school students titled “From Zero to One Hundred in Three Hours: Programming Your Own Learning Assistant with ChatGPT.” The event introduces participants to the practical use of AI in programming through an interactive, beginner-friendly format.

In this three-hour session, students will learn how ChatGPT works, how AI can support learning and coding, and how to use AI tools responsibly and critically. Using GitHub Copilot, participants will build their own digital learning assistant step by step. No prior programming experience is required.

The workshop emphasizes that programming is a learnable skill and shows how modern AI tools can support creativity, problem-solving, and independent learning.
